Description
The Church of the Madonna della Valle is a typical country church, a wayside aedicule enlarged in the sixteenth century and reinforced in the eighteenth century. It is beautifully framed by oak trees and fields along the “new road” in view of Ocricchio.
The wooden doors bear the names of nineteenth century devotees. Within a 16th century, crudely made, wooden screen is a delicate fresco from the previous century depicting the Madonna and Child.
